Love Is The Best Medicine

Love is a commandment from the LORD. First, He tells us to love ❤️ Him with all of our heart, our mind, our soul, and our strength (Mark 12:30). Then He tells us to love our neighbors as ourselves (Mark 12:31). Love is not an option, although, sometimes, we make the choice to choose the opposite.

But let’s get real for a second though; people ain’t easy to love 💯💁🏽‍♀️. Father did not make these folk easy to love 😩😂. We have to put up with foolishness, backstabbing, betrayal, haterism, fake friends, lack of loyalty, racism, ignorance, stupidity, jealousy, money-hungry people, envious folk, sabotage, lies, and having to be recipients of other folks bad choices, and whatever else I didn’t mention.

But then Father always has a comeback. He sends a gentle and subtle reminder saying, “Now, you know how I feel but I still sent My Son to die for you and the people you don’t like, even when you once acted the same way. You weren’t easy to love but I loved you regardless.” 👀🥴😩

Matthew 5:43-48

43 “You have heard that it was said, ‘You shall love your neighbor and hate your enemy.’

44 [a]But I say to you, love your enemies, bless those who curse you, do good to those who hate you, and pray for those who spitefully use you and persecute you,

45 that you may be sons of your Father in heaven; for He makes His sun rise on the evil and on the good, and sends rain on the just and on the unjust.

46 For if you love those who love you, what reward have you? Do not even the tax collectors do the same?

47 And if you greet your[b]brethren only, what do you do more than others? Do not even the [c]tax collectors do so?

48 Therefore you shall be perfect, just as your Father in heaven is perfect.

Father out here giving tall orders 😂. Take some time to think about how you used to be, who you was an enemy to, and where and when the LORD drew you to Him. Then extend that same patience and grace to the next person.

Years ago, the LORD gave me a book to write called, “The Growth Spurt.”

You can find it here 👉🏽 https://theleap.co/creator/authorklap/

He showed/taught me how to interact with people I come in contact with and how to identify what category they go in with His direction and insight. I lean on the LORD for all my relationships now and because I’ve done that my life has been better, hurt less, and caused me to become unstuck. My heart hurts less because I know how to categorize people in my life. I always ask the LORD about people. And it’s not that I love those others who are no longer apart of my life any less, nor are they bad people; I just came to understand that they weren’t the right fit for me. And you know what, that’s okay. If they called on me today, I’d still help them and with a genuine heart. I don’t have this love thing down-pat, because I am human and hunty frfr, sometimes it takes me a minute to gather myself lol, but I love the LORD too much to stay there and my witness (for Him) is the upmost priority.

Love has so many layers and I’d be remissed if I didn’t address that fact. There’s no way to cover everything about love in one blog, sooooo…maybe, this is another book/mini book??? 🤔 Whelp! We’ll see 👋🏽
