It would be easy to say that we handle things ourselves because we feel like we can do a better job, but that's honestly not the reason. We know good and well that we cannot outdo God. The real reasons are: 1- we fear what could be, 2 - we fear what we do not know, 3 - we fear the outcome, 4 - we are used to handling things ourselves because others have proven to us that we can only trust it when we do it, and 5 - we want control over it.
