You Know Who You Are

Today’s Morning Blessings hit home. As I rode with my daughter to take her to work this morning and asking the LORD what’s the word for the day, and He gave me this!!!!….I just sat back and exhaled.

My character and that of my family has been under attack for years. It will make you question yourself and who you are but I’m also very aware of Whom I belong to and that is where I keep my identity. It took me an extremely long time to get to this place, confidently, more than I’d like to admit. But I understand the journey was necessary, because once I understood who I was and Whom I belonged to, there’s no longer anything anyone can say or do to me to make me question who I Am.

Have you felt like you were born into the wrong family? Has anybody ever said something to you that made you question who you are? Has anyone made you feel inferior because they could do something that you couldn’t? Has anyone ever made you feel like you’re not good enough? Has anyone ever tried to attach a label to you that you knew in your heart didn’t belong, and they incorporated others to double-down on the label so you started identifying with it?

Well, it’s time to come out of it, RIGHT 👏🏽 NOW 👏🏽!!!! That’s not you! And it never was!! You do belong!!! And you were born exactly where you were supposed to be!!!! Circumstances and situations nor people have a right to give you a title that the LORD didn’t give you and bae, bae…you don’t have to carry it anymore.

You were born in that family that didn’t love you like they were supposed to because you are the one the LORD has called to share love, break the chains and strongholds, and free the next generation from the curse and sins of your family line. THE LORD KNOWS EXACTLY WHO HE CALLED AND NOW IT’S TIME FOR YOU TO KNOW IT TOO!

You don’t have to feel inferior to anyone! If they thrive on making you feel that way, you owe it to yourself to exit the arena. You don’t have to stay on that ride. There are other rides at the “amusement park” that you can get on and enjoy! You don’t like that ride, and that is okay.

You are capable! You are incredible! You are resilient!! You can do anything you want because the LORD made you an overcomer!!! You are AMAZING!!!! Don’t let anyone make you feel inadequate, especially when it may be based on their own insecurities. You didn’t know?!?! God created you for this! Do you know who you are, hunty?!?! I do! You are Light. You are Salt. You are a Child of the KING! You are powerful. You are full of faith. You are who God has called you to be. And you know what else? You don’t owe anybody an apology for it!!!!

So, take off the labels. Take off the characteristics that aren’t yours. And especially, take off that identity that wants to group you into box. You were not made for a box. You were not made to be hidden. You were made to be HIS. You were made to Shine…so, go and share your Light!
