Take A Chance

Picture it; Summer, 2000 (yes, love me some Golden Girls lol). The heat is blazing, you’re sweating from head to toe, and the air conditioner just ain’t doing the trick. You load up your car and set sail to the swimming pool near you or even in your neighborhood. You get there and can’t wait to get in but the water is freezing. Like with all the heat, how is that even possible. Any who 💁🏽‍♀️. You dip your toe into the water and yank it back because it’s so cold (which is why you were at the pool, right?) and your body is shievering. You hear someone tell you to just jump in and get it over with, but you hesitated. They insisted. Finally, you throw caution to the wind and just jump in. You found out that it wasn’t as bad as you intially thought.

Do you know what happened? You took a chance. You saved yourself time and from mind games. This is exactly what Jesus wants you to do. He wants you to just “jump in” and trust Him. I mean seriously, what do you have to lose? Look at what you’ve already lost due to trying to handle things on your own. If you start counting that cost, you’ll see the cost is high. Where you’re at without Him is costing you more than where you could be with Him.

I want to encourage you today. When I look back over my life, I am in a much better state, physically, mentally, emotionally, and spiritually. Everything isn’t perfect (by far!) but I can’t even imagine going through the things I went through without Him. I barely made it with Him 😩😂. Cause bae bae, living for the LORD ain’t for the weak 😂. You are going to go through some thangs. BUT! BUT!! When I tell you that I DO NOT regret a day living with Jesus, I mean what I say. Yes, there were days that I wanted to quit but even the LORD knew that was a big fat lie cause there was no way I could leave Him. Every time I made that threat, I could feel Him looking like 🙄😏 and saying yeah, yeah. Holla at Me when you’re done with your “threats.” 😂 I knew where my bread was buttered and He knew that I knew and I knew that He knew that I knew I was lying 🤣. Everything is better on this side, the Kingdom of God. Don’t let the devil fool you. He wants to keep you blinded to the TRUTH. And the TRUTH is that Jesus is worth the jump. He’s worth your trust. He’s the best thing that will ever happen to you. You just have to give Him the access to your life and not look back. You won’t believe the ride you’re in for!
